If you are new to scraping Linkedin Sales Navigator, there are a few best practices that you should know and respect to keep your account safe and optimize your results.

These rules are based other observations and tests we have made during the least 4 years, looking at thousands of accounts and countless scrapings.

1. Use Sales Navigator free trial month carefully

To use Vayne, you need a Sales Navigator account. If you don't already have one, LinkedIn offers a free month to try it out. It's a good way to get started, but you should be careful about how you use it.

During this free trial month, the limits on the actions you can take are lower (even though LinkedIn doesn't officially state this). Therefore, you cannot use the full power of Vayne and scrape as much as you could with a paid account (this is true for other vendors too).

During that period, you should not scrape more than 1,500 profiles per day if you want to scrape regularly, or 2,500-3,000 per week if you scrape less frequently.

Think of it as a warmup period, like with cold emails. If an account with no prior activity suddenly becomes very active, it's going to look suspicious.

Once you have a paid subscription, the limits are much higher. The older your LinkedIn account is, and the longer you've paid for a Sales Navigator subscription, the better—as your account will be regarded as more legitimate.

So we recommend subscribing to the Sales Navigator Core plan (the entry-level plan) if you want to use Vayne to its full potential quickly.

2. Do not use several Linkedin automation tools simultaneously

Tools like Vayne and other Linkedin automation tools (like Heyreach.io for example) implement safeguards to protect your account and make sure you respect Linkedin’s limitations.

However, using multiple tools at once (or in quick succession) puts your account at risk. None of these tools know what the others are doing, so their actions accumulate toward your limit without coordination.

Therefore you should not use the same Linkedin/Sales Navigator account on more than one platform at once. And you should always wait a few days between switching to a different tool.
